We all know those people—the ones who treat expiration dates as a light suggestion and have a pantry stocked with canned pears from 2001.
In today's pre-packaged, shrink wrapped, and double washed world; we treat expiration dates like the key to safe food consumption. Oftentimes, expiration dates are based on quality and reputation standards, not food safety. This project is designed to educate the viewer on expiration date guidelines that will help them minimize their food waste. This poster was part of an exhibition at the University of Minnesota College of Design.
